The training
Everything you need to get started, taught the right way
Beginner Foundations goes deep on the fundamentals. You'll learn every core technique, put your skills into practice as you go, and work on live models before you finish. You'll also learn exactly how to get your tattoo permit and leave with a certificate of completion, knowing how to run the work and not just hold the tool.
This isn't a one or two day crash course. It's a full curriculum for beginners, with online modules, in-person practice, live models, and support that continues after you graduate.
The curriculum
What you'll learn
The full list of what's covered across your training. We move through all of it, at the pace of the format you choose.

Clients & Business
Plus live model days, business guidance, and more. During class you'll be permitted to work in the Bellabrow studio by the Durham County Health Department, and you'll finish with a certificate of completion.
Your class kit
A professional kit to start with
You'll go home with a professional kit built around the high-quality tools and pigments Annie uses in her own appointments every day, not the cheap generic stuff. Machine, blades, cartridges, pigments, practice skins, workbooks, and more.
It covers the essentials you need to start practicing and to perform real procedures, so you can get going right after class.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be an esthetician or cosmetologist to take a class?+
No! There are no requirements or pre-requisites to taking a class. You do not need to have any beauty experience at all! Simply come ready to learn and practice.
I'm not artistic... could I do this?+
While being naturally artistic can be an advantage, it is absolutely not required. All that is needed is a dedication to practice. In fact, I see far greater success from those committing to practicing than from those who are naturally artistic and don't.
(One of my favorite quotes is "Hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard!")
What is required to operate as a permanent brow artist?+
In North Carolina, you need a tattoo permit to operate, and permits are tied to the location, not to the individual artist. In class, you'll be permitted to work here at the Bellabrow studio, and we go over exactly what's required so you're fully prepared to get your own permit at any other location that meets the requirements (non-porous flooring, a sink, and more, all covered in class and in my free guide).
You'll also receive a certificate of completion from the training.
*Other states may have additional requirements. Always check with your local health department.
What's the difference between the 12-Week and the 5-Day Intensive?+
Both cover the exact same material. The only difference is timing.
The 5-Day Intensive is 5 full days of learning from 10am to 4pm. You'll get through the material quicker and be able to start working right away.
The 12-Week meets for 2 hours a week, once a week, for 12 weeks. You'll have plenty of time to practice between each lesson to really grasp the concepts.
Both include the online learning lessons.
What do I need to do or have before class?+
Nothing! All materials and information will be provided for you.
Can I start working immediately after class?+
Yes! Once you have a location that can be permitted, you can start working right away. The permit you get in class covers working here at the Bellabrow studio, so if you don't have your own space yet, there are options to keep using the Bellabrow space after class while you get set up.
